Why do some people feel that the whole world should be childproof?
Don’t get me wrong. I like kids. However, I don’t like people who insist on censoring others in the name of “protecting” children. For one thing, it’s the parents’ responsibility to monitor their kids’ Internet usage, video game playing, music, and TV and movie viewing. I know that it’s not always possible, but that’s just one of the things you have to take into consideration before you have children. Also, it’s not good for children to be constantly sheltered from the world around them. After all, what are they going to do when they’re 21 and they encounter sex and/or violence for the first time?I’ve actually encountered some people who were really that sheltered when they were growing up!
it is sad, but come people who have children do not want to take the time it takes to discipline their children…they want everyone else to do it. I have a son and my husband and I are the ones who censor him…it is no one else’s responsibility but ours. Perhaps people should consider these things BEFORE they have a child.
