How can I get the Adobe 10 Flashplayer to run with Windows Vista and Internet Explorer 7?
This was a constant issue with our laptop, and now with our desktop also. The Microsoft site has no answers, the Adobe site has suggestions, but I’ve followed all of their steps, and it doesn’t fix the problem.
My kids and I like to go onto the Disney online games…which run 3D, and use Flashplayer 10. Their site automatically tells you to update, and I installed it on the puter, but cannot get my security setting right so the darn thing will run.

Ok Julie if you haven’t change your setting in IE it should run the flashplayer. Follow these steps.
Uninstall Adobe Flash after downloading the tool to your desktop close IE and firefox if you use it. Also Quit ALL running applications. Like AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, or other Messengers. Now run the uninstaller,When you run the uninstaller I want you to right click on the uninstaller Then click on run as Administrator.After running it. restart your computer. If you have any running programs that use flash you will not get a good uninstall. Which will affect you install of flash 10 Here’ the link for the uninstall tool

Next download the flashplayer for Internet Explorer. If you made a mistake before and got the flashplayer for firefox that could have been your problem. After you download the flashplayer to your desktop Close Internet Explorer. Now when you install flashplayer right click on the installer and select run as administrator this is very important. This will make sure you are running the installer in the admin mode. You may be the administrator on the computer but that does not matter you must click where it says run as administrator. Once you have installed Adobe restart your computer. Open IE and go play your games.

NOTE IF YOU ARE RUNNING 64 BIT VISTA THAT’S IS ALSO YOUR PROBLEM ADOBE WON’T RUN IN INTERNET EXPLORER 64 BIT.
